1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the PeakWorld app, provided by Nikolas Korten (hereinafter “we”).

2. Account

You need an account to use the app. Your details must be accurate, and your access is for you alone. A username must not infringe the rights of third parties or be offensive.

3. Services

PeakWorld is a digital tour journal with a map, statistics, achievements and social features. Use is currently free of charge. We continue to develop the app and may change, add or discontinue features. There is no entitlement to constant availability.

The app is ad-free. It may contain labelled partner links and discount codes from partners. If you buy via such a link, we may receive a commission. Any contract is concluded exclusively between you and the respective partner.

4. Your content

Tours, photos and texts remain yours. You only grant us the rights needed to store them and display them to you and, depending on your settings, to your friends or other users. You only upload content you hold the rights to and that does not infringe anyone's rights.

5. Fair play

Offensive, unlawful or misleading content, faking ascents to manipulate leaderboards and interfering with the app's technology are prohibited. In case of violations, we may remove content or suspend accounts.

6. Safety in the mountains

PeakWorld is not a navigation or safety instrument. Summit data, elevations, weather and maps may be incomplete or wrong. Plan tours with suitable sources, pay attention to weather and conditions and only attempt what you can do safely. Mountain sports are at your own risk.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In case of slight negligence, we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable damage. The statutory liability privileges for services provided free of charge apply.

8. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings or here on the website .

9. Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder stays valid.
